‘Not afraid of nuke threats, new India enters the house and kills’: PM Modi’s full speech on his birthday

Reaffirming India’s unwavering commitment to national security and sending a strong message to Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that “new India is not afraid of nuclear threats” and that “it enters the house and kills.”

Addressing a big gathering in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar on his 75th birthday, PM Modi recalled India’s decisive military action against terror camps across the border and emphasised the country’s readiness to defend its sovereignty at any cost.

“The nation gives utmost priority to the security of Mother India,” PM Modi declared.

“Pakistani terrorists removed the ‘Sindoor’ of our sisters and daughters. We did Operation Sindoor and destroyed terror camps. Our brave armed forces brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye,” he said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks referenced a covert military operation that targeted terrorist bases in response to cross-border attacks.

PM Modi’s words struck a chord with the crowd, highlighting the transformation of India’s defence posture in recent years.

He further intensified his stance by referring to a recent incident involving a Pakistani terrorist. “Just yesterday, the nation and the world witnessed another Pakistani terrorist tearfully narrate his ordeal,” PM Modi said. “This is the new India,” he declared, “we do not bow to nuclear threats – we strike at the heart of the enemy.”

PM Modi’s speech in Dhar was not only a tribute to the valour of India’s Armed Forces but also a declaration of the country’s evolving geopolitical stance.

Here’s the text of PM Modi’s full speech:

Honourable Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mangubhai Patel, the popular Chief Minister of this state Shri Mohan Yadav ji, my colleague in the Centre, Sister Savitri Thakur ji, all Union Ministers, Governors and Chief Ministers from across the country participating in this programme, other dignitaries present on stage, and my beloved brothers and sisters of India!

I bow at the feet of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, and the divine mother of the Dhar Bhojshala, Devi Vagdevī.

Today is also the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma, the deity of craftsmanship and creation. I offer my salutations to Lord Vishwakarma and respectfully greet the millions of brothers and sisters working tirelessly in nation-building through their skills on this Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Brothers and sisters,

The land of Dhar has always been a land of valour and inspiration.
The courage of Raja Bhoj teaches us to stand firm in defence of our national pride. The sacrifice of Sage Dadhichi inspires us to dedicate ourselves to serving humanity.

Taking inspiration from this heritage, today our country places the security of Mother India as the highest priority.

When terrorists from Pakistan attacked and dishonoured our daughters, we launched Operation Sindoor and destroyed their hideouts. Our brave soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in the blink of an eye.

Just yesterday, the country and the world saw a captured Pakistani terrorist cry and confess to his fate.

Friends,

This is a New India — a nation that is not afraid of nuclear threats.
This is a New India — a nation that will strike at its enemies, even in their own homes.

Today, September 17, is also a historic day.
On this day, the nation witnessed the iron resolve of Sardar Patel.
Our Indian Army liberated Hyderabad from tyranny and secured the rights of its people, reaffirming India’s pride.

For decades, this monumental feat and the Army’s valour went unremembered. But thanks to the opportunity you have given me, our government has immortalised this day — September 17 — by officially recognising it as Hyderabad Liberation Day.

This day reminds us that nothing is above the honour and pride of Mother India. Every moment of our lives should be dedicated to the nation.

Our freedom fighters pledged their lives to the dream of a developed India — free from the shackles of colonial rule.
Today, taking inspiration from them, 140 crore Indians have resolved to make India a developed nation.

The four pillars of this vision are:
Women Power, Youth Power, the Poor, and Farmers.

Today, this programme strengthens all four pillars.
Thousands of mothers, sisters, and daughters are present here.
Though this event is happening in Dhar, its impact is nationwide.
It marks the launch of a national campaign: ‘Healthy Women, Empowered Families’, under the blessings of Goddess Vagdevī.

Across India, the ‘Adi Seva Parv’ (Festival of Tribal Welfare) is already underway.
Now, Madhya Pradesh’s edition begins.
This campaign will link our tribal societies, including Dhar, directly to multiple welfare schemes.

On this Vishwakarma Jayanti, we are also marking a major industrial milestone — the foundation of India’s largest Integrated Textile Park, right here.

This PM MITRA Park will energize India’s textile industry, ensure fair prices for farmers, and create massive employment for youth — not just in Dhar, but across the country.

Mothers and Sisters,

A healthy mother ensures a healthy household. But if a mother falls ill, the whole family system is disrupted.

That’s why we are launching the ‘Healthy Women, Empowered Families’ campaign for early detection of diseases like BP, diabetes, anaemia, TB, and even cancers — often silent killers among women.

And today, on Vishwakarma Jayanti, I am here to ask something of you —
As a son and as a brother, I request all mothers and sisters: Please get yourselves tested at these camps.

All tests and treatments will be completely free.
Even the medicines will be free of cost.
And further treatment will be covered under the Ayushman Bharat card.

This campaign will run for two weeks — from today till October 2 (Vijayadashami) — with the goal that no woman is left behind.

Our government is also launching the 8th National Nutrition Month today.
We are focused on reducing maternal and infant mortality.
Our PM Matru Vandana Yojana provides ₹5,000 for the first child and ₹6,000 for the second daughter. So far, ₹19,000 crore has been transferred to over 4.5 crore pregnant women.

Today alone, over ₹450 crore has been transferred to 15 lakh women with a single click — from the soil of Dhar.

In tribal areas, sickle cell anaemia remains a grave issue.
Our National Sickle Cell Mission, launched from Shahdol, MP, has already screened over 5 crore people, with the 1 croreth card in MP handed out today.

We are securing the lives of unborn generations.
I appeal especially to our tribal sisters — please get tested for sickle cell anaemia.

We’ve always worked to make life easier for women —

Crores of toilets under Swachh Bharat

Free LPG connections under Ujjwala

Tap water through Jal Jeevan Mission

Free treatments up to ₹5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat

I urge the men here too — support your mothers, sisters, daughters in getting tested.

Under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, during COVID, we ensured no poor mother’s kitchen went cold.
Even today, free rations continue under this scheme.

Most houses built under PM Awas Yojana are in women’s names — strengthening their status and security.

We are empowering women economically too —
Millions are taking loans under Mudra Yojana and starting businesses.

We aim to make 3 crore rural women into Lakhpati Didis — and 2 crore have already achieved it.
Women are becoming Bank Sakhis, Drone Didis, and leading the rural economy through self-help groups.

Friends,

In the past 11 years, poverty alleviation has been our topmost priority.

We believe the nation can only progress if its poor move forward.
I have lived their pain, I understand it — their struggles are my own.

Because of our consistent efforts, 25 crore people have risen out of poverty in 11 years.
This is a matter of national pride.

Our policies are not just schemes — they are Modi’s Guarantee to transform lives.

Textile and Industrial Progress

Madhya Pradesh has a rich tradition of Maheshwari textiles, carried forward by Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.

Now, through the PM MITRA Park, we are strengthening her legacy.

Cotton and silk will be easily available

Quality control will improve

From spinning and designing to processing and export — all will happen in one place

The entire 5F Vision (Farm, Fibre, Factory, Fashion, Foreign) will be realised

Already, 80+ units have been allotted land in the 1300-acre park, generating 3 lakh jobs and lowering logistics costs.

Today, we also celebrate the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which supports over 30 lakh artisans like carpenters, blacksmiths, potters, goldsmiths, and more.

They’ve received:

Skill training

Digital tools

New equipment (6+ lakh beneficiaries)

Loans worth ₹4,000 crore

These were the ignored sections of society.
We gave them dignity, support, and progress.
Because for us, the most backward are our top priority.

Dhar is also the birthplace of Kushabhau Thakre ji, a nationalist dedicated to selfless service.
I pay my respects to him today.

A Call for Swadeshi (Buy Indian)

Festive season is here.
Let’s adopt the mantra of ‘Buy Indian, Be Proud’.

Whatever you buy — let it be Made in India.
Let every item carry the sweat of an Indian.
Let it carry the scent of our soil.

I appeal to all traders — help me in my mission for a developed India by 2047.

Just as Mahatma Gandhi made Swadeshi a tool of freedom, let us make it the foundation of a developed India.

From toys and idols to fridges and mobiles, check if it’s made in India — before you buy it.

On 22 September, GST rate cuts are coming into effect. Take advantage by buying Swadeshi goods.

Let us take a pledge — and every shop should carry a sign:

Say with pride — This is Swadeshi!
Say with pride — This is Swadeshi!
Say with pride — This is Swadeshi!

With this spirit, I wish you all the very best.

Bharat Mata ki Jai
Bharat Mata ki Jai
Bharat Mata ki Jai

Thank you very much!
