3 dead in building collapse in Delhi’s Daryaganj: Official

Three people have died after a building collapsed in Delhi’s Daryaganj, according to an official.

Three people died on Wednesday after a building collapsed near Sadbhavna Park in central Delhi’s Daryaganj, an official told PTI news agency.

The information about the incident was received at 12.14 pm, following which four fire tenders were rushed to the spot where a building, consisting of ground and two floors, collapsed, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official told the agency.

“Three persons were rescued from the debris and immediately taken to hospital,” the official said.

The rescue operation was underway at the site at the time of writing. The PTI has shared visuals of the site of accident.

The building that collapsed borders City Wall alongside Sadbhavna Park, according to CNN-News 18.

The deceased have been identified as workers on the site, namely Zubair, Gulsagar, and Taufiq, the report said.

The authorities will initiate legal action after the verification of facts, as per the report.
