Modi and Putin are in China for the summit, which has brought together more than 20 global leaders. The second day of the event, hosted by Xi in the northern port city of Tianjin on September 1, also features the SCO Plus meeting.

Day 2 is expected to see Modi come face-to-face with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while a bilateral meeting between Modi and Putin is also on the schedule.
