US grants Hungary one-year exemption from Russia oil sanctions after Orban-Trump meeting at White House

The US has given Hungary a one-year exemption from sanctions on Russian oil and gas imports after Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met Donald Trump at the White House on Friday. Orbán, calling for continued energy trade with Moscow, argued that Hungary has limited alternatives as a landlocked nation dependent on pipelines.
