Trump said North Korea is “sort of a nuclear power” as he left for Asia on Friday, signalling openness to a possible meeting with Kim Jong Un. His trip will include stops in Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea for the APEC Summit, where he will also meet South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and China’s Xi Jinping.
