Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked group Al-Shabaab has threatened violence after Israel formally recognised Somaliland, warning against any Israeli move to use or operate in the breakaway region. The warning has added to regional tensions and drawn sharp reactions from Somalia and several other countries.
