One killed, several injured in blast at cricket stadium in Pakistan’s Bajaur

At least one person was killed and several others sustained injuries in an explosion at a Cricket stadium in Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, police said.

An explosion struck a cricket match in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, leaving at least one person dead and several others wounded, police said.

The blast took place at the Kausar Cricket Ground in Khar tehsil of Bajaur district. According to Bajaur District Police Officer Waqas Rafique, the device used was an improvised explosive, Dawn reported.

Police said a man lost his life in the incident, while multiple others — including children — suffered injuries. The wounded were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
