National Guard member dies, another critical after Washington shooting: Who are the soldiers?

A day after being shot, National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom succumbed to her injuries. The 20-year-old joined the US troops in 2023 and was deployed to Washington, DC, in August. Meanwhile, the other Guardsman, Andrew Wolfe, continues to fight for his life in a hospital after Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal opened fire at them near the White House
