Who Was Mohammed Nizamuddin, Indian Techie Working At California Firm Shot Dead By US Cops

A techie, hailing from Telangana, and working in the United States, was shot dead by the cops in California’s Santa Clara. Identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin, the 30-year-old was shot dead after a scuffle broke out with his roommate on September 3.

According to the police, Nizamuddin was shot after they found him with a knife at his residence, while they were responding to a 911 call. An altercation had allegedly broken out between Nizamuddin and his roommate on that day.

– Mohammed Nizamuddin was a 30-year-old techie who hailed from Mahabubnagar in Telangana.

– He completed his master’s in computer science from a Florida college.

– He used to work at a tech firm in Santa Clara, California.

– A report by NDTV defines him as a religious person who had also raised complaints about racial harassment, wage fraud, and wrongful termination from the job.

His LinkedIn Post On Racial Discrimination

According to a report by NDTV, a LinkedIn post was also brought to notice by his family.

“I have been a victim of racial hatred, racial discrimination, racial harassment, torture, wage fraud, wrongful termination and obstruction of Justice,” said the post.

“Enough is enough, white supremacy/racist white American mentality has to end,” his post added.

His family has sought help from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to bring back their son’s body to India.

“I was informed today that my son was shot dead in California, America. My son went to study in America in 2016 at Florida College…He moved to California on a promotion, where he was shot dead. I appeal to the MEA Dr S Jaishankar, to bring my son’s body back to India as soon as possible,” his father told ANI.
