A Coldplay concert in July became the center of a major controversy after a former HR executive of a company was caught cuddling with her boss on the kiss cam. Now, in a shocking twist, it has emerged that the husband of this lady was also present at the concert with a date. According to a report by The Times, the former HR executive’s husband was also there with his girlfriend.

In an infamous clip, Kristin Cabot, the head of human resources at Astronomer, was caught with her company’s then CEO, Andy Byron, by an impromptu kiss cam. The video had Cabot and Byron cuddling before they realised the camera had panned on them. The pair tried to shield their faces in an embarrassing moment for them at the concert. As the incident grabbed the internet’s attention, social media was soon rife with rumours of their affair.

Kristin Cabot’s Husband Was With His Date At Same Concert

While several reports at the time alleged that Kristin’s husband, Andrew, was in Japan at the time the Concert took place, a report in The Times has now claimed that the man was present at the same event with his own date.

“He was in fact at the same Coldplay concert as Kristin. They had been separated and living apart for several weeks. It was amicable. Kristin was in the box with people from work, though it wasn’t a company box, and Andrew was actually there too with a date, with a woman who is now his girlfriend,” a source told The Times.

“(Kristin) has felt like she can’t speak out as people in the middle of a divorce can’t say anything public. Kristin wasn’t hiding, she doesn’t know why she ducked. She knew it was inappropriate to behave that way with her boss as the head of HR.”

Kristin Cabot Wasn’t Cheating?

The source also tried to dismiss widespread claims of Kristin cheating on her husband with the Astronomer CEO, claiming that the relationship with Byron was just a “great friendship.”

“It was not that she was caught cheating, it was not some affair. She fully acknowledges (the hug) was inappropriate, but that was the only inappropriate thing she did,” the source added.

As the incident sparked online furore, Kristin and Byron both left their roles at Astronomer. The company said Byron resigned, while also noting that the CEO failed to meet their corporate conduct standards.

It was also revealed that Kristin had filed for divorce in August after living separately from her husband before the concert. The couple had been “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert,” said a spokesperson of Andrew Cabot to the People magazine.
