A 50-year-old Indiana woman, who was arrested after making violent threats against US President Donald Trump on social media, was quietly released by the judge last week.
Chief US District Judge James Boasberg released the woman, identified as Nathalie Rose Jones, a resident of Big Apple, under electronic monitoring.

The Obama-appointed judge, which is believed to be hated by the US President, also ordered her to see a psychiatrist once back home.
In a post on Facebook on August 6, Jones allegedly wrote that she was “willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea,” and claimed to have alerted FBI offices across five states.
Other posts made on Instagram reportedly called for Trump’s removal from office, labelled him a “terrorist,” and described his presidency as a “dictatorship.”
Jones later told Secret Service agents in an August 15 interview that she would “carry out the mission” with a “bladed object” if given the chance, according to court filings.
As a result of these threats, she was arrested and charged with multiple offences. These include threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, as well as transmitting threats to kidnap or injure another person.
Her arrest was announced by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who vowed aggressive prosecution.
“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution,” Pirro said.
