Alaska meeting: Trump-Putin hold discussions

The much-anticipated US-Russia summit has officially begun in Anchorage, Alaska, with President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin making their first public appearance together. Accompanied by their top officials, both leaders posed for the media ahead of the high-stakes talks.

As cameras flashed, reporters eagerly fired questions at the presidents. While President Trump acknowledged the press with a brief thanks, Putin appeared amused by the media curiousity. However, neither leader answered any questions during this initial encounter.
