A shocking video from Thailand has gone viral, showing a group of foreign tourists physically assaulting lifeguards at Nai Harn Beach in Phuket after being warned not to swim in dangerous waters. According to the Bangkok Post, lifeguards advised the tourists to stay out of the water due to red flag warnings.
Instead of complying, the group allegedly became aggressive, spitting at the lifeguards and attacking them. Footage shared widely on X (formerly Twitter) shows several men scuffling with the safety team, leaving one lifeguard injured despite his efforts to defend himself.

Rawai Mayor Thems Kratadsan strongly condemned the incident, describing the attackers as “low-quality tourists.” He said such incidents occur too often and vowed to pursue the matter seriously.
Police in Chalong later confirmed that the group was from Kuwait. Authorities said the tourists had agreed to pay 200,000 baht (about ₹5.4 lakh) in medical expenses and damages, and would deliver a formal apology to Rawai municipal officials.
The video triggered widespread anger online, with many calling for harsher penalties for the tourists. One user wrote, “Need to be jailed, then deported, and permanently banned from entering the country again”, while another said, “This is dreadful… yes, they need deportation and no future entry.”
