‘New System Of International Relations’: Russian Envoy’s Post Shows PM Modi With Xi, Putin

Russian envoy Mikhail Ulyanov noted a “qualitatively new system of international relations” is emerging as he shared a picture of PM Modi, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping together.

New Russia Permanent Representative to International Organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, on Sunday, noted the “formation of a qualitatively new system”, as he reposted a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping together.

In an X post, amid economic concerns due to the US tariffs, Ulyanov wrote, “We are witnessing the formation of a qualitatively new system of international relations.”

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a series of world leaders on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit reception in Tianjin, China.

The meeting saw discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties across defence, trade, energy, and culture.

At the official reception hosted by Xi and First Lady Peng Liyuan, PM Modi exchanged greetings with the host and joined other leaders, including Putin, for the customary family photograph.
