US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said that India will slowly reduce Russian oil purchases while hitting out at Europe for allegedly financing the war against itself.

“President Trump unilaterally put 25% tariffs on India for buying Russian oil. I think India will slowly wean itself of that (reduce oil purchases from Russia). But the perverse thing is that Europe is buying the oil that India refines. Europeans are financing the war against themselves,” the Treasury Secretary told Fox News.
