Israel’s emergency service on Sept. 8 said a shooting attack at the Ramot Junction in east Jerusalem killed five people and left several others injured, as per reports. The incident took place as the Israeli defence minister, in a Sept. 8 post on X, warned Hamas, “Today, a powerful hurricane will strike in the skies of Gaza City”. Israel Katz’s post further read that the “roofs of the towers of terror will shake”, hinting at the launch of a planned new offensive on the war-torn and famine-hit enclave. Katz issued the warning as US president Donald Trump on Sept. 7 claimed that Israel has accepted his new Gaza ceasefire terms, while issuing a warning to Hamas to do the same. Meanwhile, a drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels evaded Israeli air defences and smashed into the Ramon Airport terminal on Sept. 7, the Israeli military admitted.00:00 Introduction00:44 Mass shooting in Jerusalem kills five people1:41 Israel Katz warns of “powerful hurricane” in Gaza3:48 Israel challenges Trump’s ‘ceasefire soon’ claim?7:30 What’s in Trump’s new Gaza ceasefire proposal?8:32 Houthi drone evades Israeli defences n18oc_crux
