The FBI continues to lead the manhunt in coordination with state and local law enforcement agencies (Reuters)
Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel arrived in Utah on Thursday to directly assist in the ongoing investigation into the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to The Washington Post. The suspect responsible for the fatal shooting remains at large, and authorities have yet to confirm a motive.
Patel’s visit underscores the growing urgency surrounding the case, which has sparked national attention and security concerns. Kirk, 31, was shot during a public event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He was referred to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

A joint press conference is scheduled for later Thursday, where FBI and Utah officials are expected to provide new details on the investigation’s progress.
