Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, daughter of Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is engaged to American rapper French Montana. The couple formalised their relationship in June during Paris Fashion Week.

The 31-year-old royal and the 40-year-old rapper have been linked since late 2024, when Sheikha Mahra gave French Montana a tour of Dubai and shared pictures on social media. Since then, they have been frequently seen together in Dubai, Morocco and Paris- dining at luxury restaurants, visiting mosques and walking hand in hand across the Pont des Arts bridge.

Beyond her royal status, Sheikha Mahra commands significant financial influence. While her family’s wealth is estimated between $18 and $20 billion, her personal fortune is independently valued at between $300 million and $1.5 billion. Her wealth stems from a combination of inheritance and her own ventures.

After a high-profile divorce, she entered the business world with the launch of her luxury fragrance line, Mahra M1. Its debut perfume, pointedly titled “Divorce”, is priced at $272 per bottle. Today, Mahra M1 is considered a growing luxury brand and a direct contributor to her expanding net worth.

Sheikha Mahra’s engagement to French Montana comes after a brief marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. The couple wed in May 2023 and share a daughter but Sheikha Mahra publicly announced their divorce in July 2024 in a candid Instagram post, accusing her husband of infidelity.

“Dear Husband… I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife,” she wrote.
