A public memorial service to honour the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist tragically shot dead on September 10, will take place this Sunday, September 21. The event, expected to draw thousands of attendees, will pay tribute to Kirk’s impactful work as the co-founder of Turning Point USA.

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck while hosting campus debates at Utah Valley University. Despite urgent medical attention, the 31-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. He leaves behind his wife, Erica Kirk, and their two children—a daughter and a son.

In a move to commemorate Kirk’s influence, the Senate passed a resolution on Thursday establishing October 14, Kirk’s birthday, as the ‘National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk’. This day aims to honour his contributions and lasting impact on conservative activism.

Who All Are Expected To Attend The Memorial Service?

The memorial service will be held at State Farm Stadium in Arizona and is set to feature some of the most prominent figures in conservative politics. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are expected to attend, with Trump scheduled to deliver remarks. Earlier, Trump announced that Kirk would be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honour in the United States.

Attendees have been encouraged to wear red, white, or blue as a tribute to Kirk’s patriotic spirit. The Department of Homeland Security has designated the event as a Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Level 1, signifying its national importance and the need for heightened security measures.

Other speakers lined up for the service include Donald Trump Jr., Fox News host Tucker Carlson, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

How To Watch The Memorial Service Live

Titled “Building a Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk,” the memorial service will begin at 11 am local time (2 pm ET). For those unable to attend in person, Turning Point USA will livestream the event on its website. Additionally, the service will be broadcast on Kirk’s Rumble account, making it accessible to a broader audience online.
