A normal day became not-so-normal when a massive statue depicting Donald Trump and late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein holding hands appeared on the National Mall. Amid the whole ongoing Epstein Files saga, this `best friends forever` statue has created a lot of buzz.

The 12-foot statue — a combination of foam, resin, wood and wire — shows Trump and Epstein standing on pedestals, holding hands and smiling at one another. It appears that they are moving towards the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.

The statue was standing tall ‘in honor of Friendship Month.’ As per a report by The USA Today, the statue was installed by an anonymous group, The Secret Handshake. They told the publication that it will remain there until Saturday.

Along with the statue, three plaques were also placed. Two of these plaques contain excerpts of a birthday letter that allegedly U.S. President Donald Trump wrote to Epstein for his 50th birthday.

“We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein,” a plaque reads.

In a statement to USA Today, ‘The Secret Handshake’ group said: “We’re a very small group of citizens who are using art, irony, and humor to express social commentary and spark political conversation in public spaces.”

Notably, this is the third anti-Trump installation to emerge in the nation’s capital since June.
