A single-engine plane crashed landed in a field of sugar cane in Brazil. The pilot was killed in the crash.

An Australian pilot was killed after his plane carrying 180 kg of cocaine crashed into a sugarcane field in Brazil. As per the local media report, the cocaine was wrapped in fake SpaceX packaging.

The pilot was found dead outside the aircraft after it crashed in Coruripe, an area on Brazil’s tropical coastline, according to G1 Globo.

As per the authories, federal police had identified evidence of international drug trafficking.

The deceased pilot was as 46-year-old Timothy James Clark, an Australian businessman from Melbourne who apparently worked in the country’s mining industry and as a pilot.

The police are investigating the Space-X labelled cocaine and the pilot’s background adds twist to the case. Clark worked as a contractor for SpaceX. His LinkedIn profile highlighted his expertise in corporate jet operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

The visuals related to the accident are being shared on social media and show a crumpled plane with a blue-colored tail lying upside down in a field of shattered sugarcane.

The plane was registered to the African nation of Zambia. The drugs were taken to the Integrated Public Security Centre in Coruripe.
