Shree Chandrashekhar Appointed As Chief Justice Of Bombay High Court
The Centre has notified the appointment of new Chief Justice of Bombay High Court after the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium. Justice Shree Chandrashekhar is all set to take oath of the position.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, Judge of the Bombay High Court, as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court,” Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said on X. Justice Chandrashekhar’s name was recommended by the three-member collegium led by CJI BR Gavai on August 25.

Who Is Justice Shree Chandrashekhar?
Justice Shree Chandrashekhar was born on May 25, 1965 and is currently serving as Acting Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.
He enrolled with the Delhi State Bar Council on December 9, 1993, and began his practice in Delhi, handling both criminal and civil matters. Over nearly two decades of advocacy, he appeared in around 3,500 cases before the Supreme Court of India and contributed to nearly 140 reported judgments.
