Truck Rams Into Crowd In Indore, Catches Fire; At Least 2 Killed

A speeding truck lost control and plowed into a crowd and multiple vehicles on a busy road in Indore, killing at least two people and injuring several others.

The toll is likely to rise in this major accident at Bada Ganpati Square on Aerodrome Road. According to eyewitnesses, the truck quickly caught fire after ramming into pedestrians.

The police reached the spot and started rescue work while the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. The authorities took the driver into custody and an investigation has been launched.

Additional police commissioner Amit Singh said the truck hit some vehicles on Aerodrome Road before catching fire. “Initial inputs suggest two people died on the spot and two others were injured,” he said, adding that the driver was arrested and is being questioned.
