In a bizarre turn of events, panic and disbelief gripped villagers in Sagar district when a man presumed dead for nearly six hours suddenly stood up and told cops, “Sahab, main zinda hoon!” (Sir, I am alive).
According to a report in Hindustan, the incident occurred on the road between Dhanora and Bankhiriya villages under Khurai Rural Police Station limits. On Wednesday afternoon, locals spotted a man lying face down in the mud by the roadside. After hours of no movement, they assumed he was dead and informed the police.

But just as police and villagers bent down to lift the body, the “dead” man moved and then slowly stood up, and spoke in a trembling voice: “Sahab, main zinda hoon!”.
