Shillong Teer is a distinctive lottery game that blends the excitement of cash prizes with the traditional sport of archery. Popular across Meghalaya, it not only offers lucrative rewards but also helps preserve and celebrate the region’s rich archery heritage.

HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?

Shillong Teer unfolds in two fast-paced rounds, each lasting only about two minutes. In the opening round, archers release 30 arrows toward the target, while the second round features 20 arrows.

Players participate by placing bets on a number between 0 and 99, attempting to predict the total count of arrows that will strike the target. Tickets are sold through authorised outlets in different denominations, including Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50.

The payout is determined by both the ticket value and the accuracy of the prediction. For example, a Re 1 ticket with the correct guess in the first round yields Rs 80, while the same ticket in the second round offers Rs 60. Those who successfully predict the outcomes of both rounds can win up to Rs 4,000 from a single Re 1 ticket.

In addition to Shillong Teer, other archery-based lottery games such as Juwai Teer, Khanapara Teer, Ladrymbai Teer, and Night Teer also enjoy widespread popularity.
