SBI Bank Robbery Karnataka: Masked men, loaded with weapons, robbed a branch of State Bank of India in Vijayapura district taking away cash and gold worth crores.

59 Kg Gold, 8 Crore Cash Looted From A SBI Branch In Vijaypura
In a massive case of robbery, masked men loaded with country-made pistols and other weapons looted a branch of State Bank of India (SBI) in Karnataka’s Vijayapura district. As per the preliminary information, 58 kg gold and Rs 8 crore cash was stolen from the bank.
As per the local reports, robbers barged into the bank on Tuesday evening, tied the employees, looted and fled. The car used by them was found in Maharashtra’s Pandharpur.

A joint search operation by Karnataka and Maharashtra police is underway. Officials have reached the spot and several people have gathered in front of the branch.

Several local media reports also state that the robbers were wearing military uniforms; they threatened the manager, cashier, and employees, preventing them from pressing the alarm button.
