Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Hospitalised In Mohali After Health Deteriorates

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was hospitalized at Fortis Hospital Mohali due to deteriorating health, missing a Cabinet meeting and Arvind Kejriwal’s flood area visit.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Friday after his health deteriorated.

Mann, who was accompanied by his wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur Mann, was admitted to the isolation ICU for further treatment. The sudden turn in his health condition has raised concerns among officials and the public alike.

As per the statement issued by Fortis Hospital, Mann was admitted after he complained of exhaustion and low heart rate.

“Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was brought to Fortis Hospital, Mohali after he complained of exhaustion and low heart rate. On arrival, his vitals were assessed and have since stabilised. He is currently under observation, and his pulse rate has improved. Our medical team continues to closely monitor his condition,” the statement said.

The scheduled Cabinet meeting for today was called off, although no official explanation was provided.

He was also unable to accompany AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on his visit to the flood-affected areas on Thursday, owing to his illness.
