The brother of Chandrashekar Pole, an Indian student, who was shot dead while working at a gas station in US’ Texas, has said that this is a very painful situation for the entire family.
While speaking exclusively to CNN-News18, Pole Damodar expressed a lack of clear information surrounding the incident. He said that exact information has not been given.

“We do not know who shot my brother. No one has given us exact information, no CCTV footage has been released, and we have no clarity,” he told CNN-News18.
According to Damodar, the family learned of the incident from a childhood friend of Chandrashekhar, who is also based in Texas. “His friend informed us. That is how we came to know something had happened,” he added.
Damodar also vowed legal action, saying that the family will file a case.
He further requested the state and central government to push for the strictest punishment against the accused. He also urged the government to bring Chandrashekar’s body to India as soon as possible.
Chandrashekar Pole, a student at the University of North Texas and a native of Hyderabad, was shot dead by unknown miscreants while working at a gas station last night in Texas.
According to information available, Pole was shot by a person of African-American origin. He was working at a gas filling station in Delton part-time when some assailants opened fire on him. The student’s family has sought the government’s help in bringing back their son’s body from the US.
Pole moved to the United States in 2023 for higher studies after finishing his bachelor’s in dental surgery back in Hyderabad. He had completed his master’s degree in the US six months ago and had been seeking a full-time position while working part-time at a gas station.
