“America has adopted a new tariff policy. Of course, it serves its own interests, but its effects are being felt by everyone. No nation can survive in isolation,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of building strength from within and highlighted that political, economic, and diplomatic relations should be pursued out of choice and willingness rather than compulsion.

“A country moves forward through interdependence or diplomatic reliance but interdependence must not become compulsion. We must be self-reliant. Political, economic, and diplomatic relations must be pursued not out of necessity, but out of choice and willingness,” he said.

Bhagwat stressed that “there is no substitute for Swadeshi and self-reliance.”

“There is consistent rise of the nationalist spirit, belief & confidence in cultural belonging across the country, especially in the younger generation. In addition to Swayamsevaks, various religious, social institutions, as well as individuals, are coming forward to selflessly serve underprivileged sections of society,” Bhagwat said on Thursday.
