The current m-Aadhaar app allows address updates, Aadhaar downloads, and PVC card downloads. But mobile number updates are not possible through the app. You still need to visit the center.
To update your mobile number linked with Aadhaar, you must visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Fill out a correction form, provide your biometrics, and get verified. After verification, your new number is linked, usually within a few days.
UIDAI is launching a new Aadhaar app, already tested and expected by December 2025. It aims to simplify Aadhaar-related tasks and enhance the app experience for users.
Unfortunately, updating your mobile number at home will still not be possible. Linking a mobile number to Aadhaar is sensitive, requiring in-person authentication at a service center.
