As part of the grand Dasara festivities, the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) orchestrated the record-breaking drone show. Initially, the team planned to deploy 1,500 drones—mirroring the scale of the 2024 event—but later increased the count to 3,000, aiming to set a Guinness World Record by forming a dazzling image of India’s national animal, the tiger. To officially validate the accomplishment, CESC brought in a certification team from London, including aeronautical engineers, auditors, and legal experts. Their thorough oversight ensured the achievement was globally recognized and celebrated. (Image: Instagram)

While the tiger formation stole the spotlight as the record-breaking centerpiece, the drone show offered a rich visual feast beyond that moment. The night sky transformed into a vibrant canvas featuring a curated selection of 10-12 dazzling images, each chosen with care to reflect Karnataka’s cultural heritage and India’s national identity. Among the highlights were depictions of Goddess Chamundeshwari, Lord Krishna dancing on a serpent, the solar system, an Indian soldier alongside Mother Cauvery, and maps of the world and Karnataka showcasing the five guarantee schemes. (Image: Instagram)

The spectacle also included graceful visuals of a peacock, dolphin, eagle, and the iconic Ambari elephant, blending tradition and innovation in a truly unforgettable display. (Image: Instagram)

The drone show was featured during trial demonstrations held on September 28 and 29, serving as a preview for the main events slated for October 1 and 2. Enhancing the festive atmosphere, playback singer Kunal Ganjawala and his team delivered a captivating musical performance that set the stage before the drones illuminated the night sky.
