In a shocking case reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Niwari district, a man allegedly killed his lover and buried her body in the courtyard of his home. As per the reports, after the heinous crime, he nonchalantly kept sleeping over the woman’s grave for two nights.

The incident took place on October 2 under the Orchha police station area. Police were alerted by the woman’s family when she did not return for two days. Upon receiving the complaint, police began the probe and questioned the accused.

As per the reports, he also confessed to the crime during interrogation.

Accused Escaped Custody

The accused, Ratiram, was detained on October 4, but he managed to escape the police custody next day. Two policemen were suspended for negligence.

Police have initiated a search operation and hopefully the accused will be in custody soon.

Marriage Pressure

Reportedly, marriage pressure is the reason behind the crime. The woman, who was married, used to pressurise Ratiram to marry her and she wanted to leave her husband.

However, Ratiram wanted to end the relationship. When the pressure increased, he hatched a conspiracy. He invited the woman to his house on October 2. The couple reportedly shared intimate moments and after that Ratiram allegedly strangled her to death.

With the help of his friends Kalicharan, Mukesh, and Gyan Singh, he dug a pit and buried the body of his lover. He covered the spot with cow dung and mud. Then he placed a cot over the woman’s grave and slept over it for two days as if nothing had happened.
