Accused Escaped Custody

The accused, Ratiram, was detained on October 4, but he managed to escape the police custody next day. Two policemen were suspended for negligence.

Police have initiated a search operation and hopefully the accused will be in custody soon.

Marriage Pressure

Reportedly, marriage pressure is the reason behind the crime. The woman, who was married, used to pressurise Ratiram to marry her and she wanted to leave her husband.

However, Ratiram wanted to end the relationship. When the pressure increased, he hatched a conspiracy. He invited the woman to his house on October 2. The couple reportedly shared intimate moments and after that Ratiram allegedly strangled her to death.

With the help of his friends Kalicharan, Mukesh, and Gyan Singh, he dug a pit and buried the body of his lover. He covered the spot with cow dung and mud. Then he placed a cot over the woman’s grave and slept over it for two days as if nothing had happened.
