Uhion Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated Fast Track Immigration at five more airports today. FTI-TTP aims to reduce wait time for the passengers.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday virtually inaugurated the Fast Track Immigration at five more airports. The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) is designed for Indian citizens and foreign nationals holding Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cards.
The inauguration was conducted via video conferencing from the Departure Immigration area of Terminal 2. Meanwhile, Amit Shah also paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on the anniversary of his historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago.

“Today, five more airports are being added to the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Program. This is a matter of great joy and pride for us…Today, on the day we are inaugurating this facility, 132 years ago in 1893, Swami Vivekananda delivered a speech in Chicago, introducing India, its culture, and Sanatan Dharma to the world…Till today, 2025, we have been successful in spreading the principles of our culture and Sanatan Dharma all over the world,” Amit Shah said.

About FTI-TTP
The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme is designed for Indian citizens and foreign nationals holding Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cards. Eligible applicants are required to submit biometrics fingerprints and a facial photograph along with other necessary information as per the application form. Enrolment is completed after due verification and confirmation of eligibility.
Once enrolled, passengers can use automated e-gates at participating airports to complete their immigration clearance swiftly. The e-gate facility is currently operational at eight major airports: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and Ahmedabad, and is now being extended to Thiruvananthapuram.
