A shocking murder has surfaced in Vadodara, where a woman strangled her live-in partner with a dupatta just 15 days after moving in with him. According to police, the woman, Kavita, had left her former lover to live with Mukesh Parmar in Rajivnagar, Navayard. Mukesh and his brother Dinesh lived together, and Kavita had shifted into their house about two weeks ago.
On the night of September 1, Mukesh allegedly came home drunk and picked a fight with Kavita. Enraged, she wrapped her dupatta around his neck and strangled him to death. She then dragged the body from one room to the bedroom, pretending he had collapsed. Kavita later woke Dinesh around 2:15 am, claiming, “Your brother isn’t responding.” Mukesh was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead.

Initially, Kavita tried to pass off the death as natural, but the post-mortem revealed Mukesh had been strangled. Under police questioning, Kavita confessed, saying Mukesh had assaulted her during a drunken quarrel, scratching her with his nails, which pushed her into a fit of rage, leading to the killing.
Further investigation revealed that Kavita was in a relationship with another man before moving in with Mukesh. Mukesh, who had recently started working at a packaging company, had been living with her for the past three months before she shifted to his home.
Fatehgunj police have registered a murder case and launched a detailed probe.
