Two prisoners escaped Jail in Anakapalli after attacking staff with a hammer. Authorities have launched a manhunt to nab the fugitives.

Two remand prisoners assaulted jail staff and eloped

Dramatic visuals were caught on camera from a jail in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli district. Two prisoners on remand escaped from the jail after assaulting the jail staff. The visuals of the incident show one of the prisoners attacking the jail warden with a hammer.

Accused identified as Nakka Ravikumar and Bezawada Ramu are at large and a manhunt has been launched for them.

As per a report by NDTV, both inmates were working in the jail kitchen. Suddenly, Ravikumar started hitting the warden with a hammer and snatched keys from him. He escaped the premises.

Ramu took advantage of the situation and escaped too. Watch the video here.

Nakka Ravikumar was in locked in jail in connection with a case of misappropriating pension funds, while Bezawada Ramu was in jail due to theft charges against him.
