In a deeply disturbing case from the Tejaji Nagar area of Indore, a 2-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by her own mother on her birthday. The child was reportedly killed after her incessant crying infuriated the mother, leading to a fatal act of rage.

The tragedy unfolded on a day meant for celebration. According to reports from the Tejaji Nagar police station, the young girl was at home when she began to cry. The sound of her wails is said to have distressed her mother to an unbearable degree who, in a feat of extreme anger, grabbed a stick and hit the child on the head. The force of the blow was severe, and the toddler succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The grim discovery was made by the girl’s father upon his return home in the evening. He was met with the horrifying sight of his lifeless daughter. Overcome with shock, he immediately alerted neighbors and subsequently contacted the police.

Responding swiftly to the scene, a team from the Tejaji Nagar police station took custody of the body and initiated a post-mortem examination. The initial investigation pointed to the mother as the primary suspect. Police have since registered a case of murder and have taken the accused mother into custody.

Tejaji Nagar Police Station In-charge, SK Singh, stated, “We have arrested the mother on charges of murder. She is currently being questioned. While the preliminary investigation suggests a moment of extreme frustration led to this tragic outcome, we are looking into all possible angles, including domestic discord or any potential mental health issues the mother may have been facing.”

The incident has left the community reeling, with many struggling to comprehend the depth of the despair or rage that could drive a parent to such an extreme act of violence. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
