Karur Vijay Rally: Tamil Nadu’s Karur witnessed a massive political rally led by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay. However, the event took a tragic turn when over 36 people lost their lives and more than 62 others were injured, many of whom had to be rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Heart-wrenching visuals from the Karur government hospital have surfaced online. In one clip, a grieving father is seen carrying the lifeless body of his child in his arms.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared condolences on the tragic incident and wrote on X, “The unfortunate incident during a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones. Wishing strength to them in this difficult time. Praying for a swift recovery to all those injured.”
Karur Vijay Rally: Tamil Nadu Govt Forms Commission Of Inquiry To Probe
The Tamil Nadu government has announced that a Commission of Inquiry, led by retired High Court Judge Justice Aruna Jagadeesan, will be set up to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Karur rally tragedy.
