The Haryana government will provide Rs 2,100 each to women in the first phase starting September 25th. The scheme, Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, was announced recently and preparations are underway.

Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena shared vital information about the initiative. He confirmed that the scheme will be officially launched on September 25, with the Chief Minister unveiling an app for applications on the same day. Meena urged women from families with annual incomes less than Rs 1 lakh to complete the required documentation for the scheme.

Key Terms And Conditions

Under the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, each eligible woman will receive Rs 2,100 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) via banks. To qualify, beneficiaries must have a current bank account in their name.

Women must be between 23 and 60 years of age and belong to families whose verified annual income does not exceed Rs 1 lakh. Women married to residents of Haryana from another state, whose husbands have lived in Haryana for 15 years or more, are also eligible.

Who Does Not Qualify For The Scheme

However, Meena said that women already receiving assistance from the Social Justice and Empowerment and Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes Welfare, and Antyodaya Services Department are not eligible for the scheme. This includes those receiving old-age honorarium, financial aid for widows and destitute women, disability assistance, Ladli Social Security, financial help to Kashmiri migrant families, Haryana Dwarfism Allowance, acid attack financial assistance, or unmarried women financial aid. Additionally, women receiving financial assistance or employed under any government or non-governmental organisation or contractual arrangement are excluded from the scheme.

Women With Illnesses Are Eligible For Benefits

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the scheme offers benefits to women suffering from illnesses, including financial support for cancer patients in the third and fourth phases, assistance for individuals with rare diseases, haemophilia, thalassemia, and sickle cell anaemia, alongside benefits from other government-notified schemes.

This initiative aligns with the BJP’s assembly election promise to provide Rs 2,100 each to women in the state.
