HAL is set to deliver the first two Mk-1A aircraft in October, sources said.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has only received 2 GE engines for the Tejas Mk1A this year, falling short of the planned 12 by year-end. According to sources, the aerospace and defence company was expected to receive two more engines in August, but these deliveries did not occur.
With this delay, there are concerns about meeting the 12-engine target by 2025.
