The case, initially registered as accidental death, has now turned into a criminal investigation after chilling details emerged from a handwritten note recovered from the deceased’s hotel room.
What Happened?
Narendra Singh had left his home on August 7, telling his family he was going for shopping. He never returned. Days later, his family found disturbing posts on his Instagram, where he wrote: “Do everything but don’t love anyone. We were together for five years… this girl will kill you and jump.”
The post was accompanied by 12 photographs of him with his ex-girlfriend Krishna. Alarmed, the family began searching for him, tracking his location through WhatsApp activity that eventually led them to a hotel in Bavla.
What they found there was devastating.
When his family arrived, Narendra Singh climbed onto the roof of the hotel complex, threatening to kill himself if anyone came close. Moments later, he slashed his wrist with a blade and leapt to his death.
The Suicide Note
At first, Bavla police registered the case as an accidental death. But when investigators searched his room, they found newspapers and handwritten notes that changed the course of the case.
In the notes, Narendra accused his ex-girlfriend Krishna Mistry and her husband Rahul Mistry of harassment. He alleged that Rahul had borrowed several lakhs of rupees from him but never repaid the debt. Worse, the couple allegedly tortured him mentally, pushing him to take the extreme step.
The note explicitly blamed the two for his death.
From Love Affair To Fatal Feud
According to police sources, Narendra and Krishna had been in a relationship for five years before she married Rahul. Despite her marriage, Narendra continued to be emotionally entangled with her. Investigators believe this triangle spiralled into a toxic mix of emotional blackmail, financial disputes, and psychological torture.
Family members said Narendra had become withdrawn in the weeks leading up to his death, and his cryptic social media posts reflected his turmoil.
What Action Did The Police Take?
Following the discovery of the note, Bavla police filed a case of abetment to suicide against Krishna and Rahul Mistry, both residents of Ralaj in Khambhat. The couple is now under investigation, and police are probing the financial transactions and phone records that could support the allegations.
Officers said more witnesses—including friends and relatives—will be questioned to establish the timeline of harassment.
Community In Shock
The incident has shocked residents of Khambhat, who say Narendra was well-liked in his community. Many are now demanding stricter laws against psychological harassment in relationships, noting how digital footprints like Instagram and WhatsApp statuses reveal the emotional distress victims often suffer silently before taking drastic steps.
As the investigation unfolds, one haunting line from Narendra’s last message continues to echo:
“Do everything, but don’t love anyone.”
