The incident happened following a dispute between the two after school hours, it was known.

Commenting on the incident, the police said the two boys entered into an altercation, which turned violent. Moments later, one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other, causing serious injuries to his abdomen and hand.

The injured student was rushed to a private hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the family of the injured student lodged a complaint in connection with the case, following which the police initiated legal proceedings.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and further investigation is underway.

The incident was reported merely three days after a Class 10 student was stabbed to death by a Class 8 student at the Seventh Day Adventist School in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on August 19.

The victim died during treatment later that night.

The deceased student was allegedly stabbed to death using a sharp object by the accused juvenile after a minor scuffle between them.

Following his death, a mob vandalised the school on Wednesday, alleging that the school teachers and management did not act in time to save the injured student after the attack.

Meanwhile, a screenshot of an Instagram chat between two students went viral on social media platforms with a claim that one of them is the accused juvenile.

The police were yet to issue a statement about the purported chat.

In the latest, the Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights sought a report from the Ahmedabad-based private school over the incident.
