Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated CP Radhakrishnan on being elected as India’s next Vice President, expressing confidence in his leadership.

Congratulations pour in for Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan after he was declared the winner of the Vice President election, held on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him, saying that he is confident that the latter would be an outstanding leader, who will “strengthen our Constitutional values and enhance Parliamentary discourse.”

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that Radhakrishnan has devoted his life to serving society and empowering the poor.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the Vice President-elect, saying that his sagacity as a leader who has risen from the grassroots of society will help the government in bringing out the best in the parliamentary democracy to serve the marginalised.
“Congratulations to Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan Ji on being elected as the Vice President of India. I firmly believe that your sagacity as a leader who has risen from the grassroots of the society and profound knowledge about administration will help us in bringing out the best in our parliamentary democracy to serve the marginalised.
