Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday said that Brahmins “ignite the flame of knowledge in our society”. Her remark came while she was addressing the All India Brahmin Conference held by Shri Brahmin Sabha in Delhi’s Pitampura on Sunday, October 5.
“If anyone is igniting the flame of knowledge in society, it is our Brahmin community. They worship not only scriptures but also weapons. Only through weapons and scriptures can we protect society and the country today,” said Gupta.

“By igniting the flame of knowledge, propagating religion, and fostering a spirit of goodwill, the Brahmin community has always worked for the benefit of society. No matter which government is in power, it should work for the welfare of the Brahmin community to take them forward,” she added.
She further took a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal and said that Delhi had been moving at a slow pace for the last 27 years.
“Now is the time to shift gears and accelerate the process because it seems that the states around us have surpassed us. If we all work together in the interest of Delhi and its people, then Delhi will surely be established as a Viksit Delhi,” she said.

CM Gupta further highlighted that her government aims to provide equal opportunities to each community and to honour their contribution.
Speaking about Lord Parashuram, she said that his teachings remind us that dharma is not just about how we act, but also about our duty towards society.
“Only a united society can achieve true progress,” she said.
She also shared a post after the incident from her X handle, showing glimpse from the event.
“Participated in the Inter-State Brahmin Conference organized by Shri Maithili Brahmin Sabha, Delhi Province in West Enclave, Pitampura. The life of Lord Parshuram Ji is an amazing confluence of wisdom, courage, and honor. His ideals teach us that the essence of religion lies not only in conduct but also in responsibility towards society,” she said in her post on X.
