“Shri Aditya Sahu has been appointed as the State Working President in place of Shri Ravindra Kumar Rai. This appointment will come into force with immediate effect,” it added further.

With this move, Aditya Sahu will take charge of party affairs in Jharkhand, replacing Ravindra Kumar Rai, and will be responsible for strengthening the organisation in the state.

Who Is Aditya Sahu?

Aditya Sahu, a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, has been associated with the BJP’s organisational work in Jharkhand for several years. Known for his strong organisational skills and connection with the party base, Sahu has played an active role in strengthening the BJP’s presence in the state. His appointment is expected to bring renewed focus on both organisational discipline and electoral mobilisation.

Replacing Ravindra Kumar Rai

Sahu replaces senior leader Ravindra Kumar Rai, who has held various important roles within the party. Rai’s tenure saw the BJP maintain a strong opposition stance in the state assembly. With Sahu taking over, the party is expected to sharpen its strategies in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections in 2026 and the Jharkhand assembly polls.
