The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday published the final voter list for Bihar following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ahead of the upcoming state elections.

The updated electoral roll has been made available on the official ECI portal. Voters can visit the official website (https://voters.eci.gov.in/) to verify their names.

“In view of the Special Intensive Revision, the final electoral roll has been published on 30 September 2025. Voters can now check their details online using the provided link,” the EC said in a post on X.

The revision process, initiated in July, aimed to remove foreign and illegal entries from the electoral rolls.

The exercise was conducted with the assistance of over 77,000 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), nearly 3,000 assistant officers, and more than 1.6 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) representing all major political parties.

However, the exercise has faced criticism from opposition parties. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that irregularities were occurring during the revision process.

The EC, meanwhile, rejected any allegations of bias, emphasising that it treats all parties equally and that the exercise is non-partisan.

The matter is also under the scrutiny of the Supreme Court, which is hearing a petition challenging the SIR. The court has noted that if any illegality is detected in the methodology followed by the EC during the revision, the entire exercise could be invalidated.
