The FIR was lodged at the Singhwara police station in Darbhanga district based on a complaint by Gudia Devi, a resident of Ward No. 7 in Singhwara.

As per the complaint, Gudia Devi alleged that she was cheated of Rs 200 while filling out a form to avail the benefits of Rs 2500 under the “Mai Bahin Maan Yojana”. She further claimed that the scheme is being promoted by the mentioned leaders.

The complaint also accuses the Opposition leaders of collecting sensitive personal information from innocent women, including Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, and mobile numbers.

Police have registered the FIR, and the SHO of Singhwara police station has confirmed the filing.

‘Mai Behan Maan Yojana’ is a social assistance scheme launched by the Indian National Congress for the women of Bihar. Under this scheme, eligible women get Rs 2,500 per month directly into their bank accounts. The main objective of the scheme is to make women economically self-reliant and empower them to participate in social decisions.
