According to officials, three people have been rescued, while search and rescue operations continue to locate others who may still be trapped under the debris.

Police sources told CNN-News18 that 15 people have died, and four passengers, including a young girl, were rescued alive. The bus was carrying more than 30 passengers, though the exact number is not yet confirmed.

A video from the site showed a JCB clearing mud and rocks, while several people worked to free those trapped. The footage also revealed a broken section of the bus, highlighting the force of the landslide that struck the vehicle.

The bus was travelling on the Marotan–Kalaul route when the landslide occurred.
