While lakhs of people have applied for the ‘Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam’ (Artist Women’s Right to Live Scheme) through the Ungalil Oruvan Stalin special camps, here’s a detailed look at how to check the status of their applications.

To make government schemes and services more accessible to marginalised communities, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Ungalil Oruvan Stalin initiative on July 15, 2025. Under this scheme, over 10,000 special camps are being organised across Tamil Nadu until November, offering 43 services from 13 departments in urban areas and 46 services from 15 departments in rural areas, all in one place.

These camps provide vital services such as caste certificates, patta transfers, pensions, old-age allowances, marriage benefits, Aadhaar corrections, and more, right at people’s doorsteps. Among the most sought-after is the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam, with thousands of women applying daily.

However, many are now keen to know when they will receive the first instalment of the entitlement amount. The government had earlier stated that all applications submitted through these camps would be processed within 45 days, and eligible beneficiaries would be informed accordingly.

Since August 28 marked the completion of 45 days since the scheme’s launch, government sources suggest that the first phase beneficiary list is expected to be released shortly.

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, speaking at a recent government-organised wedding function in Chennai, revealed that 40% of applications for the women’s entitlement scheme were received via the Ungalil Oruvan Stalin camps. He further assured that the remaining eligible women would start receiving Rs 1,000 per month within the coming months.

Meanwhile, many applicants remain uncertain about the current status of their applications, whether they have been accepted, rejected, or are still under review. To address this, the government has launched a dedicated website: https://ungaludanstalin.tn.gov.in, which allows users to locate nearby camps, view the services available at each camp, and track the status of their petitions.

To check the status of your application, visit https://ungaludanstalin.tn.gov.in
and click on the section titled “Know the status of your petition.” Then, select “Track Grievance” from the options displayed. If you are a new user, you will need to click on “New User? Signup” and enter your name and mobile number to receive a one-time password (OTP). Once registered, you can log in using your mobile number.

After logging in, you will be able to view the status of your application, whether it is pending, in progress, or completed. This convenient online system allows women who have applied for the entitlement scheme to easily track their application status from anywhere, at any time.
