A320 Safety Alert: DGCA Grounds Aircraft, 338 Flights Hit; IndiGo, Air India Rush To Apply Fix

India’s civil aviation regulator issued a fresh update amid global disruptions linked to a flight-control module issue in Airbus A320-family aircraft. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said a total of 338 flights in India have been affected so far, with 189 aircraft already updated with the required software fix and cleared to resume commercial operations.The DGCA’s urgent safety order requires airlines to inspect and replace a critical flight-control computer on a wide range of A320-family aircraft. The directive grounds any aircraft equipped with the affected component until the mandatory modification is complete.
