Tata Motors on Tuesday launched the 2025 Tata Sierra in India at an introductory price of ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV, positioned as a premium mid-size offering, comes with seven variants — Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+.

Bookings will open on December 16, and deliveries will start from January 15. The SUV is positioned against the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, Hyryder, Elevate, Kushaq and Taigun.

The Sierra is offered with six powertrain combinations across three engine options. These include a new 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDi turbo-petrol engine paired with an automatic torque converter, a 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and dual-clutch automatic options, and a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine available with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The Sierra 2025 is offered in six colours: Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Pristine White, Pure Grey and Andaman Adventure — all paired with a contrasting black roof.

Features

Built on Tata’s new ARGOS architecture, the 2025 Sierra features AWD-ready underpinnings and is claimed to offer class-leading water-wading capability. The SUV is equipped with Level 2+ ADAS with more than 20 features, six airbags and an electronic parking brake as standard. In a rare real-world validation exercise, Tata Motors crash-tested two Sierra SUVs head-on at 50 kmph, each carrying four occupants, to benchmark safety performance beyond regulatory requirements.

The SUV features end-to-end DRLs and taillamps, which Tata claims are the slimmest headlamps in the segment, a floating armrest and generous soft-touch materials. It also gets one of the largest panoramic sunroofs in its class and offers class-leading boot space.
